Artemis II AI Photo Filter: Turn Yourself Into a NASA Astronaut for Free

Humanity Returns to the Moon

For the first time in over half a century, humans are heading back to the Moon. NASA's Artemis II mission launches on April 1, 2026, sending four astronauts around the Moon aboard the Orion spacecraft. It is the first crewed lunar mission since Apollo 17 in December 1972.

The crew includes Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, and Mission Specialists Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen. Koch will become the first woman and Glover the first person of color to travel beyond low Earth orbit.

To celebrate this historic moment, we created the Artemis II Collection, a Limited Edition set of five AI presets that let you see yourself as a NASA astronaut.

What the Artemis II AI Filter Does

Upload a single selfie and the AI transforms your face into five different Artemis-inspired scenes. Each preset preserves your facial features while placing you in a completely different astronaut context.

The [Artemis Crew](/presets/artemis-crew) preset puts you in the orange pressure suit at Kennedy Space Center. [Moonwalker](/presets/moonwalker) places you on the lunar surface with Earth on the horizon. [Mission Control](/presets/mission-control) seats you at the flight director console in Houston. [Space Portrait](/presets/space-portrait) creates a studio-quality NASA portrait perfect for professional profiles. And [Next Generation](/presets/next-generation) turns you or your kids into a Pixar-style space explorer.

How It Works

The process takes about 30 seconds per photo. Upload your selfie, select a preset, and the AI generates your astronaut portrait. You can try one preset for free with a small watermark. The full pack of five HD photos without watermark is available as a Limited Edition bundle for $9.99 until April 12.

Why This Collection is Limited Edition

The Artemis II Collection is tied directly to the mission timeline. The pack is available at $9.99 from March 31 through April 12, 2026. After the mission window closes, the presets remain available but at premium pricing.

This is the first of a series of event-based collections. Each major cultural or scientific event will get its own limited set of AI presets with exclusive pricing during the event window.

About the Artemis II Mission

Artemis II is the first crewed mission of NASA's Artemis program, designed to return humans to the Moon and eventually establish a sustained presence for future missions to Mars. The 10-day mission will take the crew on a trajectory that passes approximately 5,000 miles beyond the far side of the Moon, making it the farthest humans have traveled from Earth.

The mission builds on the success of the uncrewed Artemis I flight in 2022, which tested the Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft. Artemis III, planned for 2028, aims to land astronauts on the lunar surface for the first time since 1972.
